The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unflooded and unbroken volcanic caldera in the world, measuring about 20 kilometers across and covering an area of approximately 300 square kilometers.

This walk offers a chance to explore the landscape on foot, allowing you to observe animal tracks, learn about the local flora, and experience the sense of solitude that comes from trekking through the African bush. Your expert guide and armed ranger will ensure your safety during this experience.

The walk follows the Western rim of the Crater, passing the Oloirobi viewpoint, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views. Initially, the path takes you through patches of forest, gradually opening up to grasslands. As you walk, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views both to your right, down into the Crater, and to your left, where the vast landscapes of Olduvai Gorge, the Serengeti, and the Gol mountains unfold.
